[٣٠١٨/ ٣٠٧١] (خ م س) عائذ بن عمرو بن هلال المزني، أبو هبيرة البصري. شهد بيعة الرضوان، وهو أخو رافع بن عَمرو. وروى أيضًا عن: أبي بكر. وعنه: ابن حشرج، وسوادة بن عاصم، ومعاوية بن قرة، والحسن، وأبو جمرة - بالجيم والراء - الضُّبعي، وأبو عمران الجوني، وآخرون. روى حشرج بن عبد الله بن حشرج بن عائد المزني، عن أبيه، عن جده أن عائد بن عمرو كان يركب السروج المنمرة ويلبس الخز ولا يرى بذلك بأسًا وقد زوج في غداة واحدة أربعين رجلًا من مزينة كل امرأة على ألف ووصيف. قال ثابت البناني: أوصى عائذ بن عَمرو أن يصلي عليه أبو برزة الأسلمي وذلك في إمرة عُبيد الله بن زياد.
