[٢٩٠٤/ ٢٤٤٩/ م] (ع) طارق بن شهاب بن عبد شمس بن سلمة البجلي الأحمسي الكوفي. أدرك الجاهلية، ورأى النبي ﷺ وروى عنه لفظه وغزا في خلافة الصديق. وروى عن: أبي بكر، وعمر، وعلي وابن مسعود، وأبي موسى وجماعة. وعنه: قيس بن مسلم، وعلقمة بن مرثد، وإسماعيل بن أبي خالد وجماعة. وثقه ابن معين كما رأيت في "الجرح والتعديل" لابن أبي حاتم، ووثقه غيره، وقال خليفة وغيره: مات سنة (٨٢) وقال الفلاس: سنة (٣) وقال محمد بن عبد الله بن نمير: سنة (٨٤)، وذكره ابن حبان في الصحابة في "الثقات" وقال مات سنة (٨٣).
