    [٢٥٩١/ ٢٦٧١١] (ق) سهل بن زنجلة - هو بفتح الزاى، ثم نون ساكنة، ثم جيم مفتوحة، والباقي معروف، وهو سهل بن أبي سهل، وسهل بن أبى الصُّفْدى - بضم الصاد، وإسكان العين المعجمة، ثم دال مهملتين، ثم ياء مشددة تشبه ياء النسبة أبو عمرو الرازي الأشتر الحافظ. عن ابن عيينة، وأبى بكر بن عياش، وحفص بن غيات - بكسر الغين المعجمة ثم مثناة تحت مخفقة وفى آخره ثاء مثلثة -، ويحيى القطان، وعبد العزيز الدراوردي، وطبقتهم. وعنه: (ق)، وأبو يعلى الموصلى، وموسى بن هارون، وجعفر من محمد الزعفراني الرازي، وطائفة. قال أبو حاتم: صدوق. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، وكناه بأبي عثمان قال: ويقال: أبو عمرو.
