[٢٥٧٢/ ٢٥٩٣] (ح مقرونًا د ت ق) سنان بن ربيعة الباهلي البصري، أبو ربيعة. عن: أنس، وشهر بن حوشب، وحضرمي بن لاحق. وعنه: الحمادان، وعبد الوارث، وعبد الله بن بكر السهمي. وثقه بعضهم. وقال أبو حاتم: مضطرب الحديث. وقال ابن معين: ليس بالقوي له في (خ) حديث مقرنًا بغيره، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات". ذكره في "الميزان" فقال: صويلح. وقال ابن معين: ليس بالقوي. وذكر قول أبي حاتم فيه ثم ذكر أن (خ) قرنه بغيره. عداده في البصرين.
