[٢٥٢٩] (تمييز) سليمان بن عتبة الدمشقي السلمي، أبو الربيع. يروي عن: يونس بن ميسرة بن حلبس - بفتح الحاء، ثم لام ساكنة، ثم موحدة مفتوحة، ثم سين مهملتين -، والشاميين. روى عنه: الهيثم بن خارجة، وسليمان بن عبد الرحمن. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" ترجمتين هذا والذي قبله، وأخشى أن يكونا واحدًا، بل إنما هما ترجمة واحدة، وراجع "الجرح والتعديل" تعرف ذلك، والله أعلم. ذكره في "الميزان" فقال: وثقه دحيم ووهاه ابن معين. وقال صالح جزرة: روى مناكير.
