[٢٤٥٦/ ٢٤٧٧] (دق) سلمة الليثي، مولاهم المدني. عن: أبي هريرة. وعنه: ابنه يعقوبُ. قال (خ): لا يُعرف له سماع من أبي هريرة، انتهى. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" فقال: يروى عن أبي هريرة، روى عنه يعقوب بن سلمة، ربما أخطأ. وذكره في "الميزان"، وقال: لا يُعرف، ولا روى عنه سوى ابنه يعقوب، من طريق محمد بن موسى الفطرى - يعنى بكسر الفاء، وإسكان الطاء المهملة - بحديث: "لا وضوء لمن لم يذكر اسم الله عليه". وفى "التذهيب" - والظاهر أنه في أصله وكذا في "الميزان" في ترجمة يعقوب ابنه، قال: لا يُعرف له سماع من أبيه، ولا لأبيه من أبى هريرة، انتهى.
