[٢١٠١/ ٢١٣٠] (خ د س ق) زيد بن واقد - بالقاف - القرشي الدمشقي أبو عُمر، ويقال: أبو عمرو. عن: جُبير بن نُفير، وكثير بن مرة، وبُسر - بضم الموحدة، وبالسين المهملة - ابن عبيد الله، ومكحول، وطائفة. وعنه: صدقة السمين، وصدقة بن خالد، وسويد بن عبد العزيز، والوليد بن مسلم، وجماعة. وثقه أحمد، وابن معين وقال دحيم: هو من كبار أصحاب مكحول، قال الحسين بن محمد بن بكار: مات سنة (١٣٨). ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، وقال: يعتبر حديثه من غير رواية ابنه عبد الخالق بن زيد انتهى. ذكره في "الميزان" تمييزًا من الآتي بعده، فقال: أحد أصحاب مكحول الثقات احتج به (خ). ثم ذكر وفاته في التاريخ الذي ذكرته.
