[٢٠٣٨/ ٢٠٦٢] (م د س) زياد بن فياض الخزاعي الكوفي، أبو الحسن. عن: خيثمة بن عبد الرحمن، وسعيد بن جبير، وغيرهما.وعنه: الأعمش، والثورى، وشعبة، وشريك، وجماعة. وثقه أبو حاتم، وغيره، روى أبو أحمد الزُبيرى عن سفيان، قال: كنت إذا رأيت زياد بن فياض كأنه نُشر من قبر. قيل مات سنة (١٢٩). له في الكتب حديثان، أحدهما: في صوم يوم ويوم، والثاني: في اجتناب المسكر. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، وأرخ وفاته كما ذكرت. وذكره أحمد العجلى في "ثقاته" (¬١) أيضًا. * زياد بن فيروز، أبو العالية البراء، في الكنى.
