[١٨٧٢/ ١٨٨٧] (م س) ربيعة بن كلثوم بن جبر - الظاهر أنه بفتح الجيم، وبالموحدة - البصري. عن: أبيه، والحسن، وبكر بن عبد الله. وعنه: يحيى بن يحيى، وعبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث، وحجاج بن منهال، وعفان، وطائفة. وثقه ابن معين. وقال أحمد: صالح. له في مسلم حديث واحد. وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات". ذكره في "الميزان"، وذكر توثيق ابن معين له. قال: وقال أبو حاتم صالح. وقال (س): ليس بالقوي. وقال أيضًا: ليس به بأس. وقد ذكره ابن عدي في "الكامل"، وقال: ليس له من الحديث إلا اليسير.
