[١٧٦١/ ١٧٨٠] (خ ت س ق) داود بن أبي الفرات عَمرو بن الفرات الكندى المروزي، أبو عَمرو قدم البصرة. وروى عن: عبد الله بن بريدة، وعلباء بن أحمر، وإبراهيم الصائغ، وغيرهم. وعنه: ابن مهدى، وأبو عبد الرحمن المقرئ، وعفان، وطالوت بن عباد، وحجاج بن منهال، وخلق. وثقه ابن معين، وأبو داود، ذكر داود هذا ابن حبان في "ثقاته". وكذا أحمد العجلي، ذكره في "الميزان"، وصحح عليه، وذكره تمييزًا من داود بن أبي الفرات بكر الذي تقدم في داود بن بكر، قال ابن أبي عاصم: مات سنة (١٦٧). داود بن أبي الفرات المدنى: هو داود بن بكر، تقدم.
