[١٥٦٣/ ١٥٨٤] (ق) حى، أبو حية -بفتح الحاء المهملة، وتشديد المثناة تحت، باسم الدابة الخبيثة- الكوفى. عن: سعد، وابن عُمر. وعنه: ولده أبو جَناب -بفتح الجيم، وتخفيف النون، وفى آخره موحدة. قال أبو زرعة: محله الصدق. ذكره ابن حبان في"الثقات"، ولم يذكر عنه راويًا سوى ولده أبى جناب. ذكره في "الميزان" فقال: لا أعلم حدث عنه سوى ولده أبى جناب الكلبى. ثم ذكر كلام أبى زرعة. ثم قال (قلت): له حديث "فمن أجرب الأول" وقد ذكره في كنى "الميزان"، وقال: لا يُعرف.
