[١٤١٦/ ١٤٢٤] (ت) الحكم بن جَحْل. هو بفتح الجيم، وإسكان الحاء المهملة، ثم لام - والجحل: اليعسوبُ العظيم والجَعْل الحرباء، وهو ذكر أمِّ حُبْيَن، وقيل الجحل: الجُعَل (*) الأزدي البصري. عن: حُجر العدوي، وعطاء بن أبي رباح، وأبي بردة. وعنه: ابن أبي عروبة، وحجاج بن دينار، وأبو عاصم العباداني. وثقه ابن معين، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات".
