[١٣٠٥/ ١٣١٣] (٢) الحسين بن شُفَي - هو بضم الشين المعجمة، وفتح الفاء، وتشديد الياء مصغر - ابن ماتع - هو بمثناة فوق مكسورة بعد الألف -، الأصبحي المصري. عن: أبيه، وتُبيع - بضم المثناة فوق، ثم موحدة مفتوحة، ثم مثناة تحت ساكنة، ثم عين مهملة - الحميري، وعبد الله بن عمرو - إن صح -. وعنه: حيوة بن شريح، ويحيى بن أبي عمرو السيباني - بسين مهملة - بطن من مراد، وقد ضبطه القرشي بفتح السين، والكسر، ثم مثناة تحت ساكنة، والباقي معروف - وجماعة.ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" قال ابن يونس: توفي سنة (١٢٩).
