[٩٠٩/ ٨٩٣] (س) جبر بن عَبيدة. هو بفتح العين. قاله الذهبي في "المشتبه" صححه المزي انتهى - الشاعر. عن: أبي هريرة. وعنه: سيار، أبو الحكم. ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" في المكبرين، ولم يذكر عنه راويًا سوى سيار أبي الحكم، وذكره في "الميزان"، فقال: جَبْر أو جُبير بن عَبيدة، عن أبي هريرة بخبر منكر، لا يعرف من ذا وحديثه: "وعدنا لغزو الهند" انتهى (*).
