[٦٥٩/ ٦٢٣] (د س ق) أيوب بن محمد بن زياد الرقي الوَزَّان مولى ابن عباس. عن: يعلى بن الأشدق، وابن عيينة، وأبي إسحاق الفزاري، ومروان بن معاوية، وطبقتهم. وعنه: (د س، ق)، وابن أبي عاصم، وأبو عروبة، وأبو بكر بن أبي داود، وخلق. وثقه النسائي، وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات" فقال: وكان يزن الناس. مات في ذي القعدة سنة (٢٤٩). انتهى. وقد أرخ وفاته فى "التذهيب" و "الكاشف" كذلك، ورأيته في "التهذيب"، وغلط من قال سنة ست.
