[٥٦٥/ ٥٣٠] (دت سى) أشعث بن عبد الرحمن، الجَرْمي.• تنبيه: قال الحافظ علاء الدين مغلطاي: قال المزي: إن الأشعث بن عبد الرحمن جَرْمي أزدى. اعترض عليه بأن جَرْم بن ربال بن حلوان بن عمران بن الحاف بن قضاعة، لا يجتمع مع الأزد بن الغوث بن نبت بن مالك بن زيد بن كهلان بن سبأ. والله أعلم. انتهى. بصري. يروى عن: أبيه، وأبي قلابة. وعنه: حماد بن سلمة. وثقه ابن معين. وذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات".
