[٤٩٥/ ٤٦٠] (س) إسماعيل بن عبد الرحمن بن ذؤيب، أو ابن أبي ذؤيب الأسدى، المدنى. عن: ابن عمر، وعطاء بن يسار. وعنه: سعيد بن خالد القارظي، وعبد الله بن أبي نجيح، وثقه أبو زرعة.ذكره ابن حبان في "الثقات"، فقال: إسماعيل بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي ذؤيب وقد قيل: ابن ذؤيب، من أسد بن خُزيمة، ومن قال إنه ابن أبي ذؤيب، فقد وهم ثم أسند عنه حديثًا ذكره بسنده إليه عن ابن عمر ﵄.
