[٤٩٣/ ٤٥٨] (د ت س) إسماعيل بن عبد الله بن سماعة، أبو عبد الله الدمشقي مولى آل عمر بن الخطاب. عن: الأوزاعى، وموسى بن أعين. وعنه: أبو مسهر، وهشام بن إسماعيل العطار، وعمران بن يزيد، والدمشقيون. وثقه (س)، وغيره. قال أبو حاتم: كان من أصحاب الأوزاعي وأقدمهم. وقال أبو مسهر: كان من الفاضلين. ذكره ابن حبان في "ثقاته".
