    [٤٣٣/ ٤٢١] (ق) إسماعيل بن إبراهيم، البصرى، الكرابيسي، صاحب القُوهى - بضم القاف ثم واو ساكنة ثم هاء ثم ياء النسبة، قال الجوهرىُ في "صحاحه": والقُوهى (ضرب من الثياب) بيضٌ. عن: أبيه، وابن عون. وعنه: حفص الرَبالي -بفتح الراء ثم موحدة وبعد الألف لام ثم ياء النسبة إلى جده- وهو حفص بن عمرو بن ربال، ومثنى بن معاذ العنبرى، وغيرهما. وثقه ابن حبان، وقال: مات سنة (١٩٤)، ذكره الذهبي في "ميزانه" وقال: عن ابن عون رفع حديثًا في كتمان العلم؛ الصواب موقوف.
