    [٤٠٢/ ٣٩٠] (خت) إسحاق بن يحيى بن علقمة الكلبي الحمصى، ويُعرف بالعَوْصى -بفتح العين، ثم واو ساكنة، ثم صاد مهملتين- وعَوْص: هو ابن آدم بن سام بن نوح. يروى عن: الزهرى. وعنه: يحيى الوُحاظى، لا يُعرف، وقيل: إنه قتل أباه. استشهد به البخاري في عدة أماكن عن الزهري، وقد رأيته في "ثقات ابن حبان" ولفظه: إسحاق بن يحيى الكلبى من أهل حمص، يروى عن الزهري، روى عنه يحيى بن صالح الوُحاظى. انتهى. وذكره في "الميزان"، فقال: عن الزهرى، وعنه يحيى الوحاظى فقط، قال محمد بن يحيى الذهلي: مجهول. وقال محمد بن عوف: يقال: إنه قتل أباه. (قلت) خرّج له (خ) في الأدب، انتهى. -يعني المفرد-.
