٨١ - أحمد بن يوسف بن حسن بن رافع الكواشي، نسبة إلى قلعة بالموصل، ينعت موفّق الدين (¬١).كان عالمًا بتفسير كتاب الله العظيم، منقطعًا في جامع الموصل للعبادة، مجتهدًا في العمل، كثير المجاهدات، متقلّلًا من الدنيا، ولا يقبل شيئًا من أحد، وله كرامات تنقل عنه، وكفّ بصره قبل موته بعشر سنين، فتلقّى ذلك بالرضا والتسليم. وصنّف في التفسير "كتابًا كبيرًا"، وآخر "صغيرًا" (¬١)، وبلغ من العمر تسعين سنة. وتوفي في سابع رجب سنة ثمانين وست مئة. وقيل كانت وفاته في سابع عشر جمادى الآخرة من السنة المذكورة، وقد بقي له من التسعين أشهر، ﵀.
