    ٢٧٢ - عبد الرحمن بن سليمان بن الأكرم (¬٥) بن سليمان الدمشقي الصالحي الحنبلي، أبو شعر، الشيخ الإمام العالم العلامة زاهد الحنابلة وشيخهم وقدوتهم. شديد المحبة للعلم ومطالعته والغنى به واقتناء كتبه. حصل من الأصول الحسان ما لم يقر به غيره، وله في التفسير عمل كثير ويد طولى. ولد في شهر شعبان سنة ثمانين وسبعمائة (¬٦)، اشتغل في غالب فنون العلوم الشافعية حتى فاق فيها.[مات في حدود سنة أربعين وثمانمائة فيما أظن، ثم رأيت بخط النجم أنه تعلل أشهرا، وتوفى ليلة السبت سادس عشر شوال سنة أربع وأربعين وثمانمائة] (¬١)
