٢٤٢ - سليمان بن أحمد بن عمر بن علي (¬٤) بن أبي البدر، علم الدين بن شهاب الدين بن سراج الدين بن زين الدين علي البغدادي الأصل المصري الجوهري الضرير. ولد سنة تسعين وسبعمائة تقريبا (¬٥) بالقاهرة، وقرأ بها القرآن، وحفظ من العمدة. وحج مرارا: أولها سنة ست عشرة وثمانمائة. ودخل بلاد اليمن، وسافر إلى جهة الشام؛ غزة. ودخل بلاد الصعيد وإسكندرية ودمياط، وطوّف، وتعاني قراءة الأسباع، وكان يترزق بذلك. [لقيته] (¬٦) يوم الأربعاء ثامن ذي القعدة سنة خمسين وثمانمائة بمسجد معلق بالمهامزيين بالقاهرة، وقرأت عليه جزء أبي الجهم، وعنده ملتقى حسن وتواضع. والله يحسن إليه.
