    [٦٣] أحمد بن إسحاق بن واضح بن عبد الصمد بن واضح أبو جعفر العسال المصري. حدث عن: حامد بن يحيى البلخي، وسعيد بن أبي مريم، وسعيد بن أسد بن موسى، وغيرهم. وعنه: أبو القاسم الطبراني، وأكثر عنه في " معاجمه ". مات في صفر سنة أربع وثمانين ومائتين، ترجمه ابن يونس، وابن ماكولا، والسمعاني، والذهبي، ولم يذكروا فيه جرحا ولا تعديلا. - الإكمال (٧/ ٤٧)، الأنساب (٤/ ١٨٩)، تاريخ الإسلام (٢١/ ٥٠ - ٥١)، تهذيب الكمال (١٠/ ٣٩٣). • قلت: (مجهول الحال) فإكثار الطبراني عنه يرفعه من جهالة العين.
