[٣٣١٣] صَفِيَّةُ بنتُ عبد المطلب بن هاشم (¬٢) عَمَّةُ رسولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ، وأمها هالة بنتُ وُهَيب بن عبد مناف بن زُهْرَةَ، هي شقيقة حمزة والمُقَوَّمِ وحَجْلٍ بني عبد المطلب، كانَتْ صَفِيَّةُ في الجاهليَّةِ تحتَ الحارثِ بن حربِ بن أُمَيَّةَ بن عبدِ شمس، ثم هلك عنها، وتَزَوَّجَها العَوَّامُ بنُ خُوَيلدِ بن أَسَدٍ، فَوَلَدَتْ له الزبير، والسائب، وعبد الكعبة، وعاشت زمانًا طويلا، وتُوفِّيتْ في خلافة عمر بن الخَطَّابِ سنة عشرينَ، ولها ثلاثٌ وسبعون سنةً، ودُفنت بالبقيع بفناء دارِ المغيرة بن شعبة. وقد قيل: إنَّ العَوَّامَ كان عليها قبل، وليس بشيء.— · 1 entry
