٦١٩٩ - (¬١) عليّ بن أيّوب بن الحسين بن أيّوب بن أستاذ، أبو الحسن القمي الكاتب المعروف بابن الساربان (¬٢): سكن بغداد وسمع عليّ بن هارون القرميسيني، وأبا سعيد السيرافي، وأبا بكر بن الجرّاح الخزّاز، وأبا عبيد الله المرزباني. كتبنا عنه ولم يكن له كتاب، وإنما وجدنا سماعاته في كتاب غيره. وحدثنا من حفظه عن أبي عمر بن حيويه، وأبي بكر بن شاذان. وذكر لنا أنه سمع من المتنبي ديوان شعره سوى القصائد الشيرازيات، فقرأت عليه جميع الديوان، وكان رافضيّا. وكان يذكر أن مولده بشيراز في سنة سبع وأربعين وثلاثمائة ومات ببغداد في سنة ثلاثين وأربعمائة.
