    ٥٥٣٩ عبيد الله بن خليفة بن شدّاد، أبو أحمد البلدي (¬١): سكن بغداد وحدث بها عن هارون بن السكين البلدي. حدّثنا عنه الأزهري، والعتيقي، وكان صدوقا. أخبرني الأزهري، حدّثنا أبو أحمد عبيد الله بن خليفة بن شدّاد البلدي- في جامع المنصور- أخبرنا أبو يزيد هارون بن السكين البلدي- ببغداد- قال: سمعت عبد الله ابن أحمد بن حنبل، حدّثنا روح بن عبد المؤمن قال: قال سفيان بن عيينة له: أترى النعم كأنها مغضوب عليها، أما تراها في غير أهلها؟ سألت العتيقي عنه فقال: ثقة. توفي في الرابع من شهر ربيع الأول سنة تسع وثمانين وثلاثمائة.
