    ١٨٥ - محمّد بن أحمد بن الصّلت بن دينار الكاتب (¬١): سمع: وهب بن بقية ومحمّد بن خالد بن عبد الله الواسطيين، وعبد الله بن عمر ابن أبان الكوفيّ، وسوار بن عبد الله البصريّ. روى عنه: أبو بكر بن الجعابي، ومحمّد ابن المظفر، وأبو الفضل الزّهريّ، وعليّ بن عمر الحربيّ، وغيرهم. وربما سمي أحمد بن محمّد بن الصلت، ومحمّد بن أحمد أشهر وأكثر. وأخبرنا محمّد بن أحمد بن رزق قال أنبأنا عمر بن جعفر البصريّ الحافظ. قال: محمّد بن أحمد بن الصلت الكاتب ثقة مأمون. أخبرنا أبو الحسن محمّد بن عبد الواحد قال: أنبأنا على بن عمر السكري قال: وجدت في كتاب أخي: مات ابن الصلت الكاتب في المحرم سنة إحدى عشرة وثلاثمائة.
