ذكر من عاصره من الخلفاء العباسية حفظهم الله: وهو: أمير المؤمنين المعتضد بالله أبو الفتح داود إلى أن توفي يوم الأحد رابع شهر ربيع الأول سنة خمس وأربعين وثمانمائة بعد أن عهد لأخيه سليمان وأمير المؤمنين المستكفى بالله أبو الربيع سليمان ولى الخلافة بعهد من أخيه داود إلى أن مات يوم الجمعة ثاني المحرم سنة خمس وخمسين وثمانمائة، وأمير المؤمنينالقائم بأمر الله البقاء حمزة، ولى الخلافة بعد وفاة أخيه المستكفى بالله من غير عهد منه إليه في يوم الإثنين خامس المحرم سنة خمس وخمسين وثمانمائة.
