    باك نائب قلعة حلب باك بن عبد الله، الأمير سيف الدين، نائب قلعة حلب. هو من جملة مماليك الملك الظاهر ططر، وممن أنشأه بعد سلطنته، وولاه نيابة قلعة حلب، فدام بها دهراً. وقدم القاهرة في الدولة الأشرفية برسباي غير مرة، واستمر في نيابة قلعة حلب إلى أن توفى بها بعد سنة ثلاث وثلاثين وثمانمائة تخميناً، وتولى مكانه الأمير حطط. وباك - باء موحدة من تحت مفتوحة وبها ألف وكاف ساكنة - ومعناه أمير - انتهى.
