المحدث نفيس الدين الحراني الدمشقي ٣٢٨ - ٧٢٩هـ - ١٢٣١ - ١٣٢٩م إسماعيل بن محمد بن عبد الواحد بن إسماعيل بن علي بن صدقة، العدل الرئيس المحدث نفيس الدين الحراني الدمشقي، ناظر الأيتام. ولد سنة ثمان وعشرين وستمائة، وطلب العلم وسمع الموطأ من مكرم، وسمع بنفسه من ابن مسلمة وغيره، وحدث، وله دار هائلة برصيف دمشق، وقفها دار الحديث، وولى مشيختها تاج الدين الجعبري، وقرأ بها الحافظ علم الدين البرزالي، ونزل بها الشيخ أبو الحسن الختني وجماعة. وكان إماماً فقيهاً، محدثاً ديناً خيراً، توفي سنة تسع وعشرين وسبعمائة بدمشق عن مائة سنة، رحمه الله تعالى.
