شهاب الدين النويري ٦٨٢ - ٧٣٢هـ، ١٢٨٣ - ١٣٣١م أحمد بن عبد الوهاب بن أحمد بن عبد الوهاب بن عبادة، الشيخ الإمام المؤرخ شهاب الدين، البكري، النويري، الشافعي. كان فقيهاً فاضلاً، مؤرخاً بارعاً، وله مشاركة جيدة في علوم، وكتب الخط المنسوب، قيل إنه كتب صحيح البخاري ثمان مرات، وكان يبيع كل نسخة من البخاري بخطه بألف درهم، وكان يكتب في كل يوم ثلاث كراريس، وألف تاريخاً سماه منتهى الأرب في علم الأدب في ثلاثين مجلداً. توفى سنة اثنتين وثلاثين وسبعمائة، وهو من أبناء الخمسين، رحمه الله تعالى.
