الشيخ شهاب الدين بن أرسلان ٧٧٣ - ٨٤٤هـ، ١٣٧١ - ١٤٤٠م أحمد بن حسين بن أرسلان، الشيخ الإمام العالم الصالح شهاب الدين المقدسي الشافعي. كان إماماً بارعاً صالحاً، عالماً بالفقه والحديث والتفسير وغير ذلك، مع التدين والعبادة والصلاح.توفي بالقدس في يوم الاثنين لثمان بقين من شهر رمضان سنة أربع وأربعين وثمانمائة، عن إحدى وسبعين سنة، ولم يخلف بعده بتلك الديار مثله، رحمه الله تعالى وعفا عنه.
