معاوية بن سويد بن مقرن المزني سكن الكوفي وروى عن النبي ﷺ. ٢٢١١ - أخبرنا عبد الله قال: حدثنا قال: حدثنا عثمان بن أبي شيبة , قال: حدثنا عنبر بن القاسم أبو زبيد عن مطرف عن عامر عن معاوية بن سويد بن مقرن قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ إذا قال الرجل لأخيه يا كافر فقد بها. ٢٢١٢ - أخبرنا عبد الله قال: حدثني علي بن الجعد المنذر الطريفي قال: حدثنا ابن فضيل عن مطرف عن أبي السفر عن معاوية بن سويد قال كنا بني مقرن لنا غلاما فلطمه بعضنا فأتى النبي ﷺ فشكا إليه فأعتقه فقيل يا رسول الله إنه ليس لنا خادم غيره قال فلتخدمهم حتى يستغنوا.
