قيس بن سلع الأنصاري سكن المدينة وروى عن النبي ﷺ حديثا. ١٩٧٦ - أخبرنا عبد الله قال: نا سليمان بن الأشعث أبو داود قال: نا أبو بكر بن أبي الأسود قال: نا سعيد بن زياد أبو عاصم قال: نا نافع مولى حمنة عن قيس بن سلع الأنصاري أن إخوته شكوه إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقالوا: يا رسول الله إني آخذ نصيبي من الثمرة فأنفقه في سبيل الله تعالى وعلى كل من صحبني قال: فضرب رسول الله ﷺ صدري وقال: أنفق فسينفق ينفق الله عليك وأحسبه قال: ثلاث مرات قال فلما كان بعد ذلك خرجت في سبيل الله ومعي راحلة وأنا أكثر أهلي مالا وأيسره.
