عبد الرحمن بن أبي سبرة النخعي أيو خيثمة سكن الكوفة وروى عن النبي ﷺ حديثين. ١٩٢٠ - حدثنا محمد بن بكار نا أبو وكيع الجراح عن أبي إسحاق الهمداني عن خيثمة بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه قال: رأيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلممع أبي وأنا غلام فقال: " ما اسم ابنك؟ " قال: فقال: اسمه عزيز، فقال: " لا تسمه عزيزا ولكن سمه عبد الرحمن فإن أحب الأسماء إلى الله ﷿: عبد الله وعبد الرحمن والحارث. ولا أعلم روى عبد الرحمن أبو خيثمة عن النبي ﷺ غير هذا الحديث وقد روى عنه من غير هذا الطريق.
