حارث بن نوفل بن الحارث بن عبد المطلب الهاشمي سكن المدينة وروى عن النبي ﷺ حديثا واحدا رواه عنه ابنه عبد الله بن الحارث. ٤٣٩ - حدثني إبراهيم بن هانىء وعمي وغير واحد قالوا: نا ابن عمر الحوضي نا همام نا ليث بن أبي سليم عن علقمة بن مرثد عن عبد الله بن الحارث عن أبيه: أن النبي ﷺ علمهم الصلاة يعني على الميت: " اللهم اغفر لأحيائنا وأمواتنا وأصلح ذات بيننا وألف بين قلوبنا اللهم هذا عبدك فلان لا نعلم إلا خيرا وأنت أعلم به فاغفر لنا وله " فقلت وأنا أصغر القوم قال: فإن لم أعلم خيرا قال: " فلا تقول إلا ما تعلم. قال مصعب الزبيري: توفي نوفل في خلافة عمر ﵁ وكان أسن من عميه حمزة والعباس.
