يونس بن أحمد بن يونس الأزدي، يعرف: بابن شوقه. من أهل طليطلة؛ يكنى: أبا الوليد. روى عن أبي محمد قاسم بن هلال، وجماهر بن عبد الرحمن، وأبي عمر بن عبد البر، ومحمد بن عبد السلام الحافظ، وأبي عمر بن سميق القاضي وغيرهم. وكان خيرا فاضلا. كان الأغلب عليه من الحديث ما فيه الزهد والرقائق، وله بصرٌ بالمسائل وتصرفٌ في الحديث. وكان بارا بإخوانه، جميل المعاشرة لهم، أحسن الناس خلقا، وأكثرهم بشاشة، لا يخرج من منزله إلا لأمر موكد، توفي بمجريط في ربيع الأول سنة أربع وسبعين وأربع مائة. ذكره ابن مطاهر.
