مروان بن عبد الله بن مروان التجيبي، يعرف: بابن الباليه: من أهل طليطلة؛ يكنى: أبا عبد الملك. سمع بالأندلس: من محمد بن عيسى بن أبي عثمان وغيره. ثم رحل إلى المشرق فحج وانصرف. وكان زاهدا فاضلا من أهل الصيام والتلاوة والورع والانقباض عن الوجاهة والرياسة بهي المنظر. ودعي أن يتولى الأحباس فأبى من ذلك واعتذر ولم يقبلها. ذكره ابن مطاهر.
