موسى بن عبد الله بن الحسين بن جعفر بن علي بن موسى بن جعفر محمد بن علي بن الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب ﵃. أصله من الكوفة؛ ثم صار إلى صقلية، ودخل الأندلس مجاهدا؛ يكنى: أبا البسام. كان عنده علمٌ، وأدبٌ بارعٌ، ومعرفةٌ بأصول الدين على مذاهب أهل السنة. وأخذ عنه بميورقة وله شعر بديع. ورجع على بلاد بني حماد فامتحن هنالك وقتل ذبحا ليلة تسع وعشرين من شهر رمضان سنة ستٍّ وثمانين وأربع مائة. أفادنيه القاضي أبو الفضل وكتب به إلي بخطه.
