موسى بن محمد بن موسى بن سهل بن عمران بن صبيح بن عبد الله الجهني: من أهل قرطبة؛ يكنى: أبا محمد. روى عن أبيه، وأبي عبد الله بن مفرج، وأبي جعفر بن عون الله، والقاضي أبي بكر بن زرب، ووهب بن مسرة، وأبي بكر بن الأحمر. روى عنه أبو إسحاق بن شنظير وصاحبه أبو جعفر. أجاز لهما ما رواه في رجب سنة تسعين وثلاث مائة. ومولده في شعبان سنة ثمان وعشرين وثلاث مائة. وحدث عنه أيضا ابن أبيض وقال: أصله من بياسة، وكان محدثا مكتبا. وكان سكناه بالمدينة عند الهروي وقرب حفرة عزيره.
