محمد بن محمد بن محمد بن عبد الله بن مسلمة: من أهل قرطبة وعين من أعيانها؛ يكنى: أبا بكر. روى عن أبي علي الغساني كثيرا وعن أبي الحسن العبسي. وأجاز له أبو عبد اللهمحمد بن فرج وغيره. وكان فاضلا سريا دينا متصاونا عالي القدر طويل الصلاة، كثير الذكر لله تعالى مسارعا إلى أفعال البر والأعمال الصالحة. وتوفي ﵀ في جمادى الأولى من سنة خمسٍ وأربعين وخمس مائة، ومولده سنة ست وثمانين وأربع مائة.
