محمد بن سليمان الكلاعي الكاتب؛ يكنى: أبا بكر، ويعرف: بابن القصيرة. وهو من أهل إشبيلية ورأس أهل البلاغة في وقته. أخذ من أبي مروان بن سراج وغيره. وكان من أهل الأدب البارع والتفنن في أنواع العلم. وتوفي سنة ثمانٍ وخمسمائة عن سن عالية وخرفٍ أصابه قبيل موته عطله بحضرة مراكش.
