محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن شبرين: من أهل مرجيق من الغرب؛ يكنى: أبا عبد الله. أخذ عن القاضي أبي الوليد الباجي كثيرا من روايته وتواليفه وصحبه واختص به. وكان: من أهل العلم والمعرفة والفهم عالما بالأصول والفروع واستقضى بإشبيلية وحمدت سيرته، ولم يزل يتولى القضاء بها إلى أن توفي سنة ثلاث وخمسمائة. كتب إلي القاضي أبو الفضل بوفاته وقال لي: قيدتها حين وفاته.
