محمد بن يحيى بن العبدري؛ يعرف: بابن سماعه: من أهل سرقسطة وخطيبها؛ يكنى: أبا عبد الله.حدث عن أبي عمر الطلمنكي وغيره. وحدث عنه أبو علي بن سكرة وقال: هو مشهور بالصلاح التام وأجاز له. قال: وتوفي: سنة اثنتين وسبعين وأربع مائة. ودفن هو وأبو الحسين بن القاضي أبي الوليد الباجي وصلي عليهما في وقت واحد وموضع واحد.
