محمد بن قاسم بن شمعلة الضبي المقرئ: من أهل بجانة؛ يكنى: أبا عبد الله. كان مقرئا أخذ الناس عنه. وتوفي ضحى يوم الاثنين لثلاثٍ بقين لذي القعدة من سنة اثنتين وأربعين وأربع مائة. ودفن يوم الثلاثاء بعد الظهر وصلى عليه القاضي أبو الوليد الزبيدي وكانت له رواية عن أبي القاسم الوهراني وغيره. وله رحلة إلى المشرق أخذ فيها عن جماعة، وكان من أهل الفضل والجلالة.
