محمد بن محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن عبد الله بن عبد العزيز بن موسى - الداخل بالأندلس - بن نصير بن عبد الرحمن بن زيد صاحب رسول الله ﷺ. من أهل قرطبة؛ يكنى: أبا بكر. روى عن أحمد بن مطرف، وأبي بكر بن الأحمر وغيرهما. قال أبو حفص، الزهراوي: لم يكن في عصره أكثر رواية منه، ولا أكثر دواوين، وذكر أنه أجاز له. وحدث عنه أيضا أبو إسحاق بن شنظير وقال: مولده يوم الثلاثاء ضحى للنصف من شعبان سنة عشرين وثلاث مائة. وكان سكناه بمحجة فحلون، وصلاته بمسجدمهران. وكان قد كف بصره ﵀. وروى عنه أيضا أبو عمر بن عبد البر وقال: توفي سنة تسعين وثلاث مائة.
