عتبة بن عبد الملك بن عاصم المقرئ العثماني أندلسي؛ يكنى: أبا الوليد. رحل فقرأ بمصر على أبي أحمد عبد الله بن حسنون البغدادي المقرئ قراءة حفص، وسمع أبا الطيب بن غلبون المقرئ، كان سماعه سنة أربع وثمانين وثلاث مائة. ودخل بغداد فحدث بها عن أبيه وعمن ذكرنا. ومات في رجب سنة خمس وأربعين وأربع مائة. ذكره الحميدي وقال: كذا قال لي أبو الفضل أحمد بن الحسن المعدل، وقال: كان رجلا صالحا وقد كتبت عنه.
