    ذوالة بن حفص بن عمر ابن عبد الملك بن عمر بن مروان بن أبي العاصي القرشي، يكنى: أبا عبد الملك، من أهل قرطبة. ذكره القاضي أبو عبد الله بن مفرج في كتاب الرواة من قريش وقال: روى عن بقى بن مخلد، ومحمد بن وضاح، ومحمد بن عبد السلام الخشني، ومطرف بن قيس وعبيد الله بن يحيى. وكان يضعف في روايتهن ولد سنة سبع وخمسين ومائتين. وتوفي في شهر رمضان سنة تسع وثلاثين وثلاث مائة. ذو النون الرجل الصالح: من أهل تاكرنا. كان ناسكا فاضلا، زاهدا. لقي معوذ بن داود وجرى على طريقته وسنته وهديه، وكانت وفاته بعد الخمسين والأربع مائة. ذكره ابن مدير.
