أم قيس بنت محصن الأسدية، أخت عكاشة. أسلمت بمكة قديما وهاجرت إلى المدينة. روت عن: النبي ﵌. وعنها: مولاها عدي بن دينار، ومولاها آخر أبو الحسن، وعبيد الله بن عبد الله بن عتبة بن مسعود، ووابصة بن معبد الأسدي، وأبو عبيدة بن عبد بن زمعة، وعمرة أخت نافع مولى حمنة بنت شجاع. قال الليث: حدثني يزيد بن أبي حبيب، عن أبي الحسن مولى أم قيس بنت محصن، عن أم قيس أنها قالت: توفي ابني، فجزعت، فقلت للذي يغسله: لا تغسل ابني بالماء البارد فيقتله، فانطلق عكاشة إلى رسول الله ﵌ فأخبره بقولها، فتبسم، ثم قال: طال عمرها، فلا نعلم امرأة عمرت ما عمرت. قلت: ذكر أبو القاسم الجوهري في مسند الموطأ أن اسمها آمنة.— · 2 entries
